Explorations brings Angie Rangel’s paintings into dialogue with animation, artificial intelligence, and generative processes. Each work begins with a handmade image, then moves through a digital system that can unfold in multiple states.
The project asks how memory changes when it passes from pigment into code—and how a viewer can encounter not one fixed image, but a family of possible images.

Every System Begins by Hand
The digital work remains anchored in paintings, notebooks, family stories, and the visual memory of the Colombian Caribbean. The source image is not discarded; it becomes the rule from which each exploration grows.

The web study is the first layer of a physical installation: large-format screens or projections, a touch interface for generating variations, and the possibility of producing a signed archival print selected by each visitor.
